Privacy policy

This is a translation for information purposes. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

1. Data controller

2. What data we process and why

• Enquiries and quotes (form, email, phone or WhatsApp): name, phone, email and the content of your message, to reply to you.
• Bookings: name, phone, email, pickup and destination addresses, date, time, number of passengers, flight number and needs such as child seats, to provide the service.
• Invoicing: the billing details you give us, to issue the invoice.
• Statistics: aggregated browsing data through Google Analytics, only if you accept it in the cookie notice.

We do not use your data to send you advertising and we do not create profiles.

3. Legal basis

• Contract: handling bookings and quotes is based on the contract or the pre-contractual steps you request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Legal obligation: we keep billing data as required by tax and accounting law (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).
• Legitimate interest: answering enquiries and complaints and collecting outstanding amounts (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
• Consent: given when you tick the box on the contact form and when you accept analytics cookies. You can withdraw it at any time (Art. 6.1.a GDPR).

4. How long we keep it

Only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for. Enquiries are kept for a maximum of one year; bookings and invoices for the periods set by tax and commercial law.

Once no longer needed, the data is blocked for the limitation period of any claims that could arise. During that time it can only be made available to public authorities, courts or the Spanish Data Protection Agency, and is then deleted.

5. Who it is shared with

We do not share your data with third parties, except bodies we are legally required to provide it to, such as the Spanish Tax Agency. If it ever became necessary to share it with another organisation, we would ask for your permission first.

The following providers are involved in delivering the service, processing data on our behalf with GDPR safeguards:

• Reserbas, the platform behind the online booking form, and the entity processing the payment if you pay by card when booking.
• The hosting provider of this website.
• Google Ireland Ltd., for analytics, only with your consent.

If you choose to write to us on WhatsApp, Meta processes those messages under its own terms. For our part, we do not make international data transfers for the purposes described.

6. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent at any time and free of charge. Write to info@torroxtaxi.com or by post to C/ Castillo 11B, 29770 Torrox, Málaga, stating the right you are exercising and enclosing a copy of your ID.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency: online at aepd.es or by post to C/ Jorge Juan, 6, 28001 Madrid. It is free and you do not need a lawyer.

7. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data and require the same of our service providers. The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and the contact form uses no tracking systems. Even so, no transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
